Each workshop has an accompanying work pack for teachers which includes a copy of the stories. Follow up work in English leads naturally into reading and writing, as pupils can read the stories themselves and write their own stories about the characters and places involved. The way that historical characters are brought to life through storytelling creates a level of enthusiasm for learning more about those characters and the world in which they lived.
I would like to stress again that these are suggested workshops only, and although this document focuses on Key Stages One and Two for English and History, I also have experience of working with older students (up to A'Level). Bespoke stories and workshops for any stage are available on request.
