"All I need is a sheet of paper and something to write with, and then I can turn the world upside down." Friedrich Nietzsche
Write here, write now
Most people can write. It doesn’t make them writers.
What’s the difference? You might be able to check the oil level on your car. You probably can’t strip and reassemble the entire engine.
A good writer is a technician as much as an artist. And because words have power – the power to change lives, create worlds and start wars – you need someone who knows what they’re doing handling your words.
That’s where I come in.
"Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs." Pearl Strachan Hurd
Heart in the write place
A passionate, self-confessed word-nerd, I’ve been telling stories all my life. Just over 15 years ago I turned my skills to commercial use when I became a copywriter.
Since then, I’ve been engaging audiences for a diverse range of clients, bringing creative solutions to commercial problems. A veteran champion of UX copy and the importance of a strong content strategy, I help my clients create outstanding user experiences.

"The most powerful person in the world is the storyteller. The storyteller sets the vision, values, and agenda of an entire generation that is to come." Steve Jobs, 1994
Positive, memorable user experiences
Brand storytelling is an extremely powerful content marketing tool. It helps you make human connections with your users. It creates a higher level of engagement and builds an emotional bond. It gives your users an in-depth account of your organisation’s aspirations, vision and mission.
There are billions of websites out there. To stand out, you have to give your users positive, memorable experiences. For that, you need better, smarter content.
Before becoming a copywriter, I was a professional storyteller. I use these skills to create compelling brand stories that your users can relate to. I give your users an intimate glimpse into your organisation’s culture, why it does what it does and how it delivers on its promises.
A sample of where it all happens. Needs bit more here I reckon.
